oh nos and thoughts on mary jane
do you get stressed? i know sometimes i do! especially in today’s economy. hahaha no i don’t even know what i’m talking about. ignore that.
whenever i have a lot of things flying at me at once, i think of those kellog’s corn pops commercials made in the ’90s. oooo that is weird when you’re like “back in the ’90s’” isn’t it? toy story and clueless were made in 1995….that is OVER TEN YEARS AGO. a DECADE. which is a long-ass time. anyway, being a television child addict in ‘the 90s’ i memorized an unhealthy amount of jingles and commercials. this one in particular is EXACTLY how my brain thinks when i get stressed.
especially the part where he’s like “WHAT AM I GONNA DO?!” i always think it like that in my head. i don’t think the ominous music comes on, but you have to admit it makes everything so tense, maybe i should consider adding that. i think just watching the commercial makes me stressed, especially because corn pops really ARE that delicious. mmmm. as erica pointed out, this is the guy from psych on usa (which i have never watched because it looks really not that funny) and she’s all that. apparently he’s the guy who throws the party? i don’t remember that part. oh freddie.
i would have let you turn me into the prom queen anyday.
i haven’t posted a lot of contemporary songs on this blog, mostly cause i think everyone has heard them enough. what is it about the radio that makes them play the same song twice in an hour? sometimes, the unreleased songs on an album will surprise you, like this one.
convenient right? i talk about stress and then i play a song called ’slow down’. i planned that. kind of. i like how when i was younger i didn’t know what mary jane meant. i was just like ‘why is this particular girl so popular?’ the only mary jane i knew of was the one from spiderman so i assumed everyone just liked her a lot because she was a redhead.
pshh, what. ever. you didn’t even know pot did not mean a pot for plants either.
